The following communication, dated 21 February 2002, has been received from the Permanent Mission of Panama.

Further to our note MPP-OMC-02-048 of 15 February 2002, in which the Government of Panama requested a waiver for the introduction of the HS96 changes, I have the pleasure to transmit herewith for submission to the Committee on Market Access, the files containing a part of the correlation which is pending with regard to the tariff headings submitted by Panama in its Schedule of Concessions, between the 1992 Harmonized System and the 1996 Harmonized System and vice versa. As regards the import tariff headings which do not appear in the schedule, Panama maintains its commitment to reduce the bound rates from 40 per c
