Description: On 22 January 2025, the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed a rule titled "National Emission Standards
for Hazardous Air Pollutants: Chemical Manufacturing Area Sources Technology
Review"
(notified as G/TBT/N/USA/2185) The EPA is extending the comment
period on this proposed rule, which was scheduled to close on 24 March 2025.
The comment period will now remain open until 14 April 2025, to allow
additional time for stakeholders to review and comment on the proposal.
The public comment period for the proposed rule published in
the Federal Register (FR) on 22 January 2025, (90 FR 7942) is being extended by 21 days. Written
comments must now be received on or before 14 April 2025.

This extension of public comment period and the proposed
rule notified as G/TBT/N/USA/2185 are identified by Docket Number

supporting documents as well as comments received. Documents are also

Members and their stakeholders are asked to submit comments to the USA TBT Enquiry Point by or before 4pm Eastern Time on 14 April 2025. Comments received by
the USA TBT Enquiry Point from WTO Members and their stakeholders will be
shared with EPA and will also be submitted to the Docket on Regulations.gov if received within
the comment period.
