Agreement under Article 21.3(b) of the DSU

The following communication, dated 21 January 2025, from the delegation of the European Union and the delegation of Malaysia to the Chairperson of the Dispute Settlement Body, is circulated in accordance with Article 21.3(b) of the DSU.

The European Union and Malaysia would like to inform you that, pursuant to Article 21.3(b) of the Understanding on Rules and Procedures Governing the Settlement of Disputes, the European Union and Malaysia have agreed that the reasonable period of time for the European Union to implement the recommendations and rulings of the Dispute Settlement Body ("DSB") shall be 20 months 6 days. The period commences on the date of adoption of the Panel report on the dispute European Union and Certain Member States — Certain Measures Concerning Palm Oil and Oil Palm Crop-Based Biofuels (DS600), and will expire on 1 January 2026.

We respectfully request that you circulate this notification to the Members of the Dispute Settlement Body.
