Description of content: This document specifies the safety requirements and their verification for the design and construction of combine harvesters, forage harvesters, cotton harvesters and sugar cane harvesters. It describes methods for operators to eliminate or reduce hazard course by the intended use of these machines during normal operation and maintenance procedures. In addition, it specifies the types of information on safe working practices to be provided by the manufacturer.

This document applies to all the significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to combine harvesters, forage harvesters, cotton harvesters and sugar cane harvesters with their intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse conditions by the manufacturer.
