Description of content: The purpose of the technical regulation is to establish the mandatory specific metrological, technical and operational requirements for electrical measuring instruments (hereinafter referred to as "electrical measuring instruments"), such as measuring transformers and elelctricity meters for measuring and calculating electrical energy, and to protect the market and consumers from the risk of counterfeit products.

This technical regulation covers measuring transformers, active and inactive meters used at the stage of source of energy and electricity transmission and distribution network, and at the consumer level.

The technical regulation shall be mandatory followed by and organizations for metrology, citizens and legal entities authorized to manufacture, import, sell, install, repair, to perform type testing and verification of electricity measuring instruments on the territory of Mongolia.
