INDIA – MEASURES CONCERNING THE IMPORTATION
OF CERTAIN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS
Notification of a Mutually Agreed Solution
The following communication, dated 15 March
2024, from the delegation of India and the delegation of the United States to the
Chairperson of the Dispute Settlement Body, is circulated pursuant to
Article 3.6 of the DSU.

The United States and India write in regard to the dispute India – Measures Concerning the Importation of
Certain Agricultural Products (DS430). The United States and India
are pleased to notify the DSB, in accordance with Article 3.6 of the Understanding on Rules and Procedures Governing the Settlement of
Disputes (DSU), that the parties have reached a mutually agreed
solution to the matter raised in this dispute.
In light of the foregoing, the United States withdraws its July 7, 2016
request (WT/DS430/16) to the DSB pursuant to Article 22.2 of the DSU for
authorization to suspend the application to India of tariff concessions or
other obligations under the General
Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994 (GATT 1994).
The United States having withdrawn its request under Article 22.2 of the
DSU, India withdraws its July 18, 2016 request (WT/DS430/17) pursuant to
Article 22.6 of the DSU objecting to the level of suspension of concessions or
other obligations under the GATT 1994 proposed by the United States.
India further withdraws its April 6, 2017 request (WT/DS430/21) for the
establishment of a compliance panel under Article 21.5 of the DSU.

this notification to the DSB and the relevant Councils and Committees.
