The following communication, dated 5
September 2023, from the delegation of Indonesia to the Chairperson of
the Dispute Settlement Body, is circulated pursuant to Article 21.6 of the
DSU.

provides a status report in DS477/DS478 in accordance with Article 21.6 of the
DSU.
Indonesia
would like to further convey that it has implemented the DSB's rulings and
recommendations in these disputes through the implementation of Law No. 6/2023
on the Stipulation of the Government Regulation in lieu of Law No. 2/2022 on
Job Creation with regard to Measure 18 on self-sufficiency as well as Minister
of Agriculture and Minister of Trade Regulations on Measures 1-17, such as
harvest period restriction, import realization requirement, six-month harvest
requirement, reference price, and domestic purchase requirement.
Indonesia
acknowledges the complainants' concerns regarding the Commodity Balance
mechanism. Its purpose is to facilitate trade through the establishment of an
integrated national database system.
Indonesia
stands ready to work with New Zealand and the United States to find amicable
solutions for these disputes.
