Proposed rule; extension of comment period
SUMMARY:
On 3 March 2023, PHMSA published a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM),
entitled "Hazardous Materials:
Adoption of Miscellaneous Petitions and Updating Regulatory Requirements (HM-
219D)," proposing changes to update,
clarify, improve the safety of, or streamline various regulatory requirements.
In response to a request for an extension of the comment period submitted by
Worthington Industries, PHMSA is extending the comment period for the HM-219D
NPRM for an additional 45 days. Comments to the HM-219D NPRM will now be due by
16 June 2023.
DATES:
Comments should be received on or before 16 June 2023. To the extent possible,
PHMSA will consider late-filed comments.
This
proposed rule; extension of comment period and the proposed rule notified as G/TBT/N/USA/1970 are identified by docket number PHMSA-2020-0102. The docket
folder is available on Regulations.gov at https://www.regulations.gov/docket/PHMSA-2020-0102/document, and provides access to primary and supporting documents as
well as comments received. Documents are also accessible from Regulations.gov by searching the docket number. WTO Members and their
stakeholders are asked to submit comments by or before 4pm Eastern Time on 16 June 2023 to the USA TBT Enquiry
Point. Comments received by the USA TBT Enquiry Point will be shared with the regulator, and if received by the
comment deadline, submitted to the Docket on Regulations.gov.
