Addendum

The following communication, dated 17 September 2020, from the delegation of Indonesia to the Chairperson of the Dispute Settlement Body, is circulated pursuant to Article 21.6 of the DSU.

Indonesia submits this report pursuant to Article 21.6 of the Understanding on Rules and Procedures Governing the Settlement of Disputes (DSU).

Indonesia has taken note of continued concerns raised by New Zealand and the United States in previous DSB meetings. In this regard, Indonesia would like to reiterate its commitment to implementing the recommendations and rulings of the DSB in these disputes.

With regard to measure 18, Indonesia would like to inform to this Body that despite the challenging circumstances in Indonesia due to the COVID–19 pandemic, the Government of Indonesia and the Parliament have been intensifying the discussions to address provisions relevant to these disputes in the draft amendment of the relevant domestic laws.

Indonesia will continue to engage with New Zealand and the United States regarding matters related to the recommendations and rulings of the DSB.
