Status Report regarding implementation of
the dsb recommendations and rulings
by Indonesia

Addendum

The following communication, dated 17 February 2020, from the delegation of Indonesia to the Chairperson of the Dispute Settlement Body, is circulated pursuant to Article 21.6 of the DSU.

Indonesia submits this report pursuant to Article 21.6 of the Understanding on Rules and Procedures Governing the Settlement of Disputes (DSU).

As reported in previous DSB meetings, Indonesia commits itself to implement the recommendations and rulings of the DSB in these disputes. Substantial adjustments to the relevant MoA and MoT Regulations had been taken and reported to this Body. In this meeting, Indonesia would like to inform the enactment of the MoA Regulation No. 2/2020 which amends the MoA Regulation No. 39/2019 concerning Recommendations for Importation of Horticultural Products with the aim to further facilitate import procedures.

With regard to measure 18, we would like to underline that the amendment of relevant laws has been included in the National Legislation Program. Soon, the Government will discuss it together with the Parliament.

Indonesia will continue to engage with New Zealand and the United States regarding matters related to the recommendations and rulings of the DSB.
