Description of content: The standard is the first revision of GDS 26: 1997 and replaces the existing GDS 26: 1997. This standard applies to new and used pneumatic passenger tyres.

This standard does not apply to retreaded or regrooved tyres, or to used tyres (casings) intended for the retreading or regrooving process.
