Proposed date of entry into force: 1 March 2019; However, a grace period is provided as explained in the Provisional Article 2:

The issuance, renewal of certificate of conformity for placing on the market in accordance with the provisions of “the Regulation on Principles and Procedures for the Production, Labelling and Control of Hazards of Tobacco Products” (dated 06/01/2005 and numbered 25692) and production, import of the tobacco products and placing them on the market shall be permitted until 5/7/2019.These tobacco products shall not be kept on the market after 5/1/2020.

On the other hand, cigarettes containing menthol and/or its derivatives in their production, whose production ended on 31/12/2018, cannot be placed on the market after 5/7/2019 and cannot be kept on the market after 5/1/2020.
