The following communication, dated 7 May 2018, from the Chair of the Appellate Body addressed to the Chair of the Dispute Settlement Body, is circulated to Members in accordance with Article 17.5 of the Understanding on Rules and Procedures Governing the Settlement of Disputes.

I refer to my letter of 27 October 2017, setting out the reasons why the Appellate Body would not be able to circulate its Report in these proceedings within the timeframes provided for in Article 17.5 of the DSU. We can now inform you that we expect to circulate the Appellate Body Report in this appeal no later than Wednesday, 16 May 2018.
