6. Description of content: The standard was prepared to provide adequate information to

tyre dealers/manufacturers and purchasers/consumers for the safe operational

performance of pneumatic tyres used on non-passenger vehicles. Tyre

dealers/manufacturers will be guided by the full range of tyre specifications outlined in the

standard. The information provided to purchasers/consumers will permit proper selection

and use of these tyres.
