Communication from Ukraine

The following communication, dated 29 May 2015, from the delegation of Ukraine to the delegation of the European Union, the delegation of the Russian Federation and to the Chairperson of the Dispute Settlement Body, is circulated in accordance with Article 4.11 of the DSU.

Pursuant to Article 4.11 of the Understanding on Rules and Procedures Governing the Settlement of Disputes (DSU), Ukraine hereby notifies the European Union, the Russian Federation and the Dispute Settlement Body that, in light of the substantial interest of Ukraine, it desires to be joined in the consultations requested by the Russian Federation in a communication circulated to WTO Members on 19 May 2015 (WT/DS494/1; G/L/1115; G/ADP/D110/1; G/SCM/D107/1) entitled European Union – Cost Adjustment Methodologies and Certain Anti-Dumping Measures on Imports from Russia.

 

Ukraine has a substantial interest in the present dispute because it is a major producer and exporter of the goods concerned. Besides, Ukraine has a systemic interest in the application and interpretation of the provisions of the relevant WTO Agreements.

 

Ukraine looks forward to being informed of the date and venue of the consultations.
