Communication from the Chairman of the Panel

 

 

            The following communication, dated 21 September 2000 and addressed to the Dispute Settlement Body, is circulated in accordance with Article 12.12 of the DSU.

            In the context of further bilateral talks to find a solution mutually acceptable to the parties, Korea has requested the Panel to suspend its work, including the issuance of the interim report, "until further notification" pursuant to Article 12.12 of the DSU.  The Panel, in a letter sent to the parties on 21 September 2000, has agreed to this request.
