Background paper by the Secretariat[1]
Addendum
This addendum refers to and must be read in
conjunction with document TN/AG/GEN/34/Rev.16 ‑ TN/AG/SCC/GEN/13/Rev.16.
It showcases in particular: Members' replies to the questionnaire on new or
updated cotton-related policy developments (Annex 4); and information on cotton
markets and policies from the trade policy review mechanism (Annex 5).
The main updates captured in this revised version
compared to the previous one[2]
are as follows:

In Annex 4, inclusion of the following replies to the Secretariat
questionnaire circulated on 2 March 2022: Argentina; Brazil; European Union; Hong Kong, China;
Japan; Macao, China; Mozambique; Thailand; Togo; Ukraine and the United States, and
·
In Annex 5, inclusion
of relevant information from Pakistan's new TPR report.
