GATT 1994 and Article 25 of the Agreement on Subsidies
and Countervailing Measures

The following
communication, dated and received on 8 October 2021, is being circulated at the
request of the delegation of Australia

Australia's 2021 new and full
notification provides details on federal programs and state/territory programs
for financial years 2019/20 and 2020/21
(the financial year being from 1 July to 30 June).
In some cases, it is arguable whether
these programs are specific within the meaning of the Agreement on Subsidies
and Countervailing Measures.
Programs are included for the sake of
transparency and without prejudice to the legal status, effects or nature of
the measures under the WTO Agreement.
