compilation of Ad hoc reports on Covid-19 measures taken by members
in the agricultural sector

NOTE BY THE SECRETARIAT[1]

Revision

At the September 2020 meeting of the Committee on Agriculture (CoA), Members requested the Secretariat to prepare a compilation of Members' ad hoc reports submitted to the CoA concerning COVID-19 agricultural measures. The Secretariat accordingly prepared a compilation contained in G/AG/W/209 dated 9 December 2020 based on Members' ad hoc reports circulated as of 25 November 2020. This revised compilation incorporates ad hoc reports submitted as of 6 September 2021 (table 1).[2] Background information included in the introductory cover notes of the original submissions has not been reproduced in the compilation. The original submissions may be consulted via WTO doc's online (https://docs.wto.org/) by searching the document symbol indicated in the compilation.

The format used in the compilation is such so as to be able to accommodate the information on COVID-19 measures in all ad hoc reports. The classification of measures in column 'area/pillar' of the compilation is only indicative. For support measures, the compilation makes no judgement on their classification or treatment under the Agreement on Agriculture. Concerned Members' domestic support notifications for the relevant years may be consulted once available. For ease of data handling and searchability, the compilation is presented in excel format, as an annex to this document.
