IMPORT LICENSING PROCEDURES
UNDER Article 7.3 OF THE AGREEMENT
ON IMPORT LICENSING procEdures (2021)
The following communication, dated 15 March 2021, is being circulated at the request of the delegation of Guinea.
The Republic of Guinea is pleased to notify that all rules and information concerning import licensing procedures applicable in the country are published in the Official Journal of the Republic.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Trade does not apply import licensing. However, importers are required to submit a descriptive import application prior to the opening of their virtual transactions folder (DVT). This application is processed within 24 hours, provided that the following required documents and information have been received:
1. An identity document
2. The pro-forma invoice
3i Tax identification number (NIF)
4. Bank account number
5. Email address
6. Telephone number.
However, import licences are issued for certain specific products, including pyrotechnic products (Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization), pharmaceutical products (Ministry of Health) and small arms (Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Security and Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization).
