These Regulations transpose into UK legislation Directive 2004/24/EC. Directive 2004/24/EC amends the principal Directive regulating the marketing of medicinal products in the European Community (Directive 2001/83/EC) to introduce a requirement for each EU Member State to establish a registration scheme for manufactured traditional herbal medicinal products.
