Brief description of the notified legal text

The Law introduced such changes as:

•      expands the technology objects list that are not covered by the legal protection;

•      allows any third parties to object the applications for inventions after their publication;

•      clarifies the procedure for granting additional protection of the rights to inventions (SPC - up         to 5 years);

•      provides the post-grant opposition procedure for inventions and utility models to the Appeals         Chamber;

•      contains provisions aimed to achieve balance between the patent monopoly and the human         rights to access medicines.
