Brief description of the notified legal text

The Rules amend the Design Right (Proceedings before Comptroller) Rules 1989 as amended, the Registered Design Rules 2006 as amended, the Patents Rules 2007 and the Trade Marks Rules 2008. In each of the Rules, the requirement to provide an address for service in the UK during any proceedings before the comptroller or registrar is liberalized to allow for an address for service in the UK, another EEA state or the Channel Islands.
