World Trade Organization WT/COMTD/LDC/19 28 November 2011 (11-6230) REPORT BY THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON LEAST-DEVELOPED COUNTRIES TO THE GENERAL COUNCIL At its meeting on 8 November 2011, the Sub-Committee on Least-Developed Countries considered a proposal on LDCs accession, submitted by the delegation of Bangladesh, on behalf of LDC Group (WT/COMTD/LDC/W/52). Following an initial discussion of the proposal, the SubCommittee mandated the Chair to do further work in small-group consultations. Consequently, the Chairman held consultations with Members on 11, 16 and 17 November 2011. Based on the deliberations during these consultations, the Chairman held a second round of consultations on 22 and 23 November 2011. At the informal consultation held on 23 November, it was agreed that the draft decision on LDC accession be submitted to the Sub-Committee for its consideration at the meeting scheduled for 28 November.
