May 2007, from the delegation of the United States and the delegation of
to the Chairman of the Dispute Settlement Body, is circulated pursuant to
Article 3.6 of the DSU.
Governments of the United
States of America and Mexico wish to
notify the Dispute Settlement Body that, in accordance with Article 3.6 of the Understanding on Rules and Procedures
Governing the Settlement of Disputes, we have reached a mutually agreed
solution to the matter raised by Mexico in the above-referenced
solution has taken the form of an agreement between the United States
dated 6 March 2006
(the "Trade in Cement Agreement").
The Trade in Cement Agreement makes possible increased imports of
Mexican cement, encourages US
cement exports to Mexico,
and settles outstanding litigation relating to the US anti-dumping order on Mexican
cement. The Agreement also provides for
the anti-dumping order to be revoked as of 1 February 2009.
