Director, who is assisted by a Deputy Executive Director. The Executive
Director is in charge of the overall affairs of the center, and the Deputy
Executive Director oversees the administration of the center, including the
research on the WTO/RTA issues, the operation of promotion activities and
training programs, and the advisory activities and negotiation facilitation.
The center also supported by a consultative committee and a senior consultant
group, which offer guidance and advice to the management team.
The Taiwan WTO&RTA Center houses more than 40 highly
professional staffs. Major projects are undertaken by in-house research fellows
with Master’s or Ph.D. degree from prestigious academic institutions. The research
fellows are further supported by an interdisciplinary research group, which
consists of senior consultants of CIER and experts from other institutions.
Therefore, the research team has the capacity to undertake multidisciplinary
research. Based on major WTO/RTA issues, the research area is divided into 15
units to support the government’s participation in WTO and RTA activities.
