COMMUNICATION FROM NEPAL
Addendum
The following communication under Article 15.2 of the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade,
dated 18 May 2017, has been received from the delegation of Nepal.

1. Ministry of Commerce, Government of Nepal is responsible for coordinating on the national
level regarding the provisions concerning notification procedures as per Article 10.10 of the TBT
Agreement.
2. Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology is the national standardization body of Nepal. NBSM
ensures that preparation and adoption of national standards and conformity assessment
procedures are in line with international standards and relevant guidelines where they exist in
accordance WTO/TBT Agreement.
3. Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology (NBSM) has been designated as the enquiry point for
TBT by the Government of Nepal as per Article 10.3 of the TBT Agreement.
