the General Council of the World Trade Organization (WTO) may suspend the

1.2. To that end, the WTO Secretariat discussed a plan for the payment of
arrears in instalments, with the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, based on the
following:
a.
The Republic of Guinea
Bissau's arrears as at 31 December 2016, amount to CHF 671,720. This
amount corresponds to 23 years of arrears, including its participation in the
Working Capital Fund.
b.
The Republic of Guinea-Bissau
undertakes to abide by a schedule of instalment payments aimed at liquidating
all arrears over a period of 30 years.
c.
The Republic of Guinea-Bissau
further undertakes to pay its annual contribution and agreed annual repayment
amount for liquidation of arrears, as from 2017. Consequently, a total amount
of CHF 51,716 will be payable to the WTO by the Republic of Guinea-Bissau for
2017.
