NOTE FROM THE SECRETARIAT

In order to assist Members, the following are deadlines for submission of various documentation following up on the October 2016 meetings, and in conjunction with the April 2017 meetings of the Committees on Anti-Dumping Practices, Subsidies and Countervailing Measures, and Safeguards, and subsidiary bodies, which will be held in the week of 24 April 2017.

Members are reminded to always submit written questions and answers directly to the Member concerned at the same time that they submit them to the Secretariat for circulation.

1  AD/CVD Legislation Notifications

The Secretariat will circulate to Members by 17 March 2017 a list of the new notifications of legislation that will be on the agenda for review at the regular meetings in April 2017. Pursuant to procedures adopted by the Committees, notifications circulated in all three WTO working languages not later than 13 March 2017 will be reviewed at the Committees' April 2017 regular meetings.

14 November 2016          Written follow-up questions regarding notifications of legislation reviewed at the Committees' regular meetings in October 2016.

5 December 2016            Written answers to written questions regarding notifications of legislation reviewed at the Committees' regular meetings in October 2016.

13 March 2017                 Written questions regarding previously-reviewed notifications of legislation, for consideration at the Committees' regular meetings in April 2017.

3 April 2017                      Written questions regarding new notifications of legislation to be reviewed at the Committees' regular meetings in April 2017.

10 April 2017                   Written answers to written questions submitted by 13 March 2017 regarding previously reviewed notifications of legislation, for consideration at the Committees' regular meetings in April 2017.

2  Safeguards Legislation Notifications

The Secretariat will circulate to Members by 17 March 2017 a list of the new notifications of legislation that will be on the agenda for review at the regular meeting in April 2017. Pursuant to procedures adopted by the Safeguards Committee, notifications circulated in all three WTO working languages not later than 13 March 2017 will be reviewed at the Committee's April 2017 regular meeting.

14 November 2016          Written follow-up questions regarding new notifications of legislation reviewed at the Committee's regular meeting in October 2016.

5 December 2016            Written answers to all outstanding written questions posed before or at the Committee's regular meeting in October 2016 as well as written responses to follow-up questions submitted by the above deadline.

13 March 2017                 Written questions regarding previously reviewed notifications of legislation, for consideration at the Committee's regular meeting in April 2017.

3 April 2017                      Written questions regarding new notifications of legislation to be reviewed at the Committee's regular meeting in April 2017.

10 April 2017                   Written answers to written questions submitted by 13 March 2017 regarding previously reviewed notifications of legislation, for consideration at the Committees' regular meetings in April 2017.

3  Subsidy Notifications

New and Full Subsidy Notifications

2015 new and full notifications were due on 30 June 2015. Pursuant to the procedures adopted by the Committee at its April 2005 regular meeting and circulated in document G/SCM/117^[1], only notifications circulated in all three WTO working languages not later than 2 January 2017 may be reviewed at the special meeting that will be held in April 2017. The Secretariat will circulate to Members, shortly after, a list of 2015 new and full subsidy notifications, and any other new and full notifications not previously reviewed, that will be on the agenda for review at that meeting.

14 November 2016          Written follow-up questions regarding the subsidy notifications reviewed at the Committee's special meeting of 25 October 2016 that had not been reviewed at previous meetings.

5 December 2016            Written answers to all follow-up and pending written questions posed in connection with the subsidy notifications reviewed at the Committee's special meeting of 25 October 2016 that had not been reviewed at previous meetings.

23 January 2017             Written questions regarding 2015 new and full subsidy notifications, and other new and full notifications not previously reviewed, to be reviewed at the Committee's special meeting in April 2017.

27 March 2017                 Written answers to written questions regarding 2015 new and full subsidy notifications, and other new and full notifications not previously reviewed, to be reviewed at the Committee's special meeting in April 2017.

Members are reminded that 2017 new and full notifications are due not later than 30 June 2017.

Transparency Notifications Relating to Article 27.4 Export Subsidy Phase-Out Period

The Members with Article 27.4 extensions are required, pursuant to paragraph 2(c) of the procedures in WT/L/691, to provide transparency notifications in respect of 2015, the last of the two final years for phasing out the export subsidies. These notifications were due on 30 June 2016.
