INFORMATION ON TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
ACTIVITIES
Addendum
At
its meeting of 12 May 1995, the Committee on Customs Valuation agreed that
greater transparency of technical assistance activities, pursuant to
Article 20.3 of the Agreement on Implementation of Article VII of the
GATT 1994, would be ensured if the information documents prepared for the
Technical Committee on Customs Valuation on such activities were also made
available as WTO documents.
This document provides information on technical
assistance activities carried out by the Secretariat of the World Customs
Organization (WCO) and its Members, as contained in the annexes of WCO document
VT1066E1b.

Technical Assistance/Capacity
Building Activities Undertaken by Members

From 9 to 20 May 2016 and from 1
to 5 August 2016, Canada provided technical assistance to Colombia’s National
Tax and Customs Agency (Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales-DIAN). The
main objective was to develop a Valuation Post-Clearance Audit Procedures
Manual.

has dispatched experts to improve knowledge in the areas of Customs Valuation,
share China’s experience and support implementation of the WTO Valuation
Agreement.
