COMMUNICATION
FROM THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
The following communication,
received on 13 March 2014, is being circulated at the request of the
Delegation of the Russian Federation.
Pursuant to paragraph 353 of the
Report of the Working Party on the Accession of the Russian Federation to the
World Trade Organization, the Russian Federation hereby informs the WTO Members
that the national definition of High Quality Beef has been developed. This
definition is contained in the "National Standard of the Russian Federation.
Meat. High Quality Beef. Specification"[1],
which is due to come into force on the 1st of July 2014.
Russian Federation wishes to
state that this communication is being made for purposes of transparency,
without prejudice to the rights and obligations of the Russian Federation under
the WTO Agreement.
