INTRODUCTORY REMARKS BY THE CHAIRPERSON
The purpose of this meeting is for the TPRB to carry out its annual overview of developments in the international trading environment, as mandated by Paragraph G in Annex 3 of the Marrakesh Agreement establishing the WTO.
The Annual Overview is to be assisted by a Report from the Director-General, which was circulated in document WT/TPR/OV/13 on 24 November 2010. The regular monitoring of trade-related developments through the provision of accurate and update information has become a regular feature of the WTO under its transparency mandate and proved its value to the entire membership.
