Indeed, through the collective review of trade policies and practices adopted by Members, the mechanism has allowed for a better understanding of such policies, their compliance with and impact on the WTO system. In the course of its existence, the TPRM has examined at least once the trade policies of the overwhelming majority of WTO’s 153 Members, comprising almost the totality of international trade.
