Request for Observer Status by Palestine
The following communication, dated 4 November 2009, addressed to the Chairman of the General Council, has been received from the Permanent Observer Mission of Palestine to the United Nations and other International Organizations with the request that it be brought to the attention of the General Council.

I have the honor to request the admission of Palestine as an Observer to the Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland on 30 November 2009.
Participation by Palestine as an Observer at the Ministerial Conference would help to set the stage for policy-making for integration into the multilateral trading system and eventual accession to the WTO, in the context of efforts at recovery from prolonged economic decline. Participati
