Addendum
This communication, dated 8 May 2007, is being circulated at the request of the Delegation of the European Communities.

You are aware that in connection with the enlargement of the European Communities on 1 May 2004, and pursuant to the communication of the European Communities (WT/GC/98) and the subsequent statement at the meeting of the Council for Trade in Goods on 30 January 2007, the period in Article XXVIII (GATT) for withdrawal of substantially equivalent concessions was extended to 39 months after the withdrawal and modification of concessions of the EC and its 10 new Member States, i.e. until 1 August 2007.
