executive summary
The Programme of Action (POA), adopted at the Third United Nations Conference on Least Developed Countries (LDC-III) held in Brussels in May 2001, provides a global framework for a strong partnership to accelerate sustained economic growth and development in LDCs, and to integrate them into the global economy. LDCs, 32 of which are WTO Members and a further ten in the process of acceding to the WTO, have an important stake in the work of the organization.
