Introduction
This document updates the information contained in the statement by Mr. A. Hamid Mamdouh, presented at the Regular session of the Committee on Trade and Environment of 29 20 April 2003 (WT/CTE/GEN/11).
Environmental issues in the services negotiations arise mainly in the discussions related to the environmental services sector.
Environmental Issues in the Committee on Specific Commitments
In the Committee on Specific Commitments (CSC), Members have continued to consider whether and how the environmental services section contained in the Secretariat Services Classification List (MTN.GNS/W/120) should be revised. Many delegations concur that the existing classification is obsolete becau
