Technical Rectification of the List of Article II (MFN)
Exemptions – Legal Services
The attached text has been received from the delegation of the Dominican Republic with the request that it be distributed to the members of the Council for Trade in Services.

Since the end of the Uruguay Round, the list has included an exemption from MFN treatment for architects and engineers under the section "Legal Services". This mistake persisted inadvertently throughout the process of certification of Uruguay Round commitments and was detected during the process of revising Article II exemptions which we started this year.
The Permanent Mission of the Dominican Republic would be grateful if this mistake could be corrected, in the light of the Dominican Republic's list of Article
