harmonization of rules of origin
As agreed by the Committee on Rules of Origin at its meeting of 6 July 1998, the following communication was sent by the Chairman of the Committee on Rules of Origin on 15 July 1998 to the Chairman of the Technical Committee on Rules of Origin:

"The Committee on Rules of Origin met on 1 and 6 July 1998. It agreed to make a report to the Council for Trade in Goods (CTG) on the Harmonization Work Programme (WTO document G/RO/25). The CTG, at its meeting on 8 July 1998, took note of the report and approved the recommendations and proposals contained in paragraph 4-6 of the report. The recommendations and proposals were adopted by the General Council at its meeting on 15 July 1998.
Would you kindly bring the above, and the attached report, to the attention of members of the Technical Committee on Rules of Origin".
