摘要：
The growth of foreign direct investment (FDI) in China has been quite impressive and unsurpassed during the last couple of decades. In December of2001, China’s long path toward WTO accession was met with much fanfare from itself as well as the rest of the world. Since opening up its borders to rest of the world, China has been the world’s second largest recipient of FDI since 1993, and in 2002 it became the world’s number one recipient of foreign investment. However there is much to be explored about this recent accession including the macroeconomic as well as microeconomic affects this will have on China and the rest of the World.
This thesis concentrates on these aspects by analyzing the most recent data on FDI in China and analyzes it by dividing it into location of origin, location of destination both by region and by sector. We then analyze initial recent data sets
